Matt is a very competitive, hard working player who is always an important member of his team. He loves being at the rink and on the ice playing. His strengths as a player are his intelligence, desire and hockey sense. Matt's play continues to improve through his dedication and hard work.

Matt has been a PASS student for two years, skating in both camps and private lessons. A defensemen, he has focused his private training sessions on tactical and individual skill development. Matt played with the Florida Jr. Panthers Squirt team this past season. The Panthers had a very successful season winning two tournaments and the State Championship. He plans to continue to develop as a hockey player and reach the highest level of hockey possible.

Matt is a fifth grade honor roll student whose favourite subjects are math, science and social studies. He plays football and basketball at school, winning five straight School Sports Awards. In the future, he would like to study law. His other interests include drawing, the Drama Club, playing hockey video games and playing outside with his friends.
