"My son Matthew has been playing ice hockey for 4 ½ years. The last year and a half Matt has been playing as a defenseman. The change from forward to defenseman was difficult for Matt on the ice and was equally hard for me as his father to watch him play.
Matt has been taking private lessons and attending clinics since he began playing hockey. In March 2005 we found PASS and Matt began taking private lessons and specialized defensive clinics. Since Matt began working with PASS, there has been immediate and noticeable positive improvement in his skating skills, game knowledge and defensive play. As a matter of fact, a parent from an opposing team even stated that “he looks like a defenseman.”
Kam Brothers, the Director of PASS, has not only impacted Matt as a coach and instructor, but also as a role model. Matt can not wait to get on the ice with Kam, and it is even harder to get him off the ice when his lesson is over.
Kam is extremely professional. Kam has a written lesson plan prepared for each and every session. There is not one minute of wasted time when Matt is on the ice with Kam. This is very important to me, because I know that Matt is learning every moment of his lesson. Kam is also the only instructor that has taught Matt about his position, and how to play as a defenseman.
I have always realized the significance of private instruction. Over the last year I have learned that lessons and time spent with PASS has been more beneficial to Matt than anything I have done for him as a hockey player before."
